The disc harrow has the characteristics of simple structure, easy operation, and high efficiency, and are widely used in agricultural production for tillage, soil turning, leveling, and other operations. However, in order for the disc harrow to achieve maximum efficiency, it not only requires correct operating skills, but also meticulous maintenance. An important task in maintenance is to add lubricating oil. This article will focus on how to add lubricating oil to a disc harrow:
1.Why add lubricating oil to the disc harrow?
When the disc harrow is in operation, the various metal components are moving, and insufficient lubrication can lead to increased friction between the moving parts, resulting in accelerated bearing wear and potential jamming; additionally, appropriate grease can prevent the entry of substances such as moisture, dirt, and debris that can cause corrosion and damage to the components of the disc harrow. Proper lubrication can also ensure smooth and stable operation of the disc harrow, reduce tractor pressure, and improve overall efficiency in the field.
2.How to add lubricating oil to the disc harrow?
Before adding lubricating oil, check the disc harrow whether exist wear, damage, or leakage or not, if not, clean the disc harrow to remove dirt or debris, especially in the area around the grease nozzle.
Preparation: Ensure that the butter gun is filled with the appropriate lubricant and prepare a cleaning cloth.
Connection: Connect the butter gun to each lubrication nozzle of the disc harrow.
Injection: Slowly inject lubricating grease until new grease is seen overflowing from the seal.
Avoid excessive injection: Be careful not to inject too much to avoid damaging the seal.
Cleaning: Wipe off excess grease and keep the disc harrow clean.
Distribution: Activate the disc harrow to evenly distribute the lubricating grease.
